Most of the time, you simply have to wait for the enemy to shoot and then find him. Otherwise, with experience, you can tell where the enemy is because you learn what an empty bush looks like vs what one with an enemy looks like. It is wise to use headphones so you can hear the enemy, that is how you will find him. It can be very challenging to see enemies in the forests, even for experienced players. This means you must stay low, go slow, and never run when near enemies. Tips for infantry: To survive in the forests, it is essential that you see the enemy first. Light tanks driving straight to the enemy almost always are immediately destroyed by rockets from anti-tank soldiers because you cannot use your maneuverability to dodge the rockets. Light tanks should take the back roads that no one is on to get behind the enemy, engage, then hide. Heavy tanks should take the roads that go directly to the enemy with friendly infantry support. Typically equipped with a rapid fire weapon and a plethora of grenades, you are a force to be reckoned with when storming enemy buildings. An Officer may choose to deploy an Outpost for his squad to redeploy onto, only 1 may be active at a time. The Assault role excels in towns, where CQB action is frequent. Placing a garrison consumes 50 supplies, and your team has a maximum capacity of 10 Garrisions. Driving through the forest is not recommended on this map unless the area is relatively flat. The Officer is one of the few players which may place down an Outpost or a Garrison, they may access these by using their Watch. Tips for Vehicles: The hills and forests make this the hardest map for vehicles, simply falling off the road will likely get your tank or truck or half-track stuck on a tree. Commanders should be aware that their supply drops will roll down the hill, especially if they are Germany. The hills make outpost and garrison placements difficult, especially in some areas. This map is mostly a hilly forest, with Hill 400 being the largest hill with lots of fortifications on it. The map denomination is the name given by Allied forces to a 400.8 metres (1,315 ft) high hill located 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) east of the centre of Bergstein in Germany. Set during the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, the series of fierce battles which fought between American and German forces. Update 6 Hill 400 is a map featured in Hell Let Loose.
